Mongolian Parliamentary delegation visits Canada

A delegation of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia led by MP, Head of the Mongolia-Canada Friendship Group in the State Great Hural, Ms.Batsukh Saranchimeg has been in Canada on a working visit between May 1-5, 2017. The delegation which included MP, Ms.Zagdkhuu Narantuya and Head of Foreign Relations Division of the Secretariat of the State Great Hural, Ms.Shar Narantuya paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the House of Commons, Honourable Geoff Regan; met with members of the Canada-Mongolia Friendship Group in the Parliament of Canada headed by Senator Joseph Day; Chair and Vice-Chair of the Parliament Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with disabilities as well as with General Director of North Asia and Oceania Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, Ms.Sara Taylor to discuss and exchange views on Mongolia-Canada expanded bilateral relations.

The Mongolian MPs expressed their appreciation for Canada’s continued support to Mongolia for strengthening democracy, human rights and freedom and confirmed to work together to further develop the expanded partnership ties between the two nations.

As part of their official visit, the MPs also traveled to Toronto where they had a meeting with the Ontario Provincial Legislative Assembly.
