Mongolians marked the 853rd Anniversary of the birth of Chinggis Khaan

November 12, 2015 is the National Pride Day, which is commemorated as the day of birth of the Great Chinggis Khaan and marked this year as the 853rd anniversary. The Chinggis Khaan is the greatest pride of the Mongol people. Chinggis Khaan was a Mongolian who overcome the miseries of human live and achieved the Tengri divinity. Chinggis Khaan lives on like a golden arrowhead shot through the time and shining out of a hundred thousand arrowheads. Chinggis Khaan left his best for Mongolia. He left the great history, orders and state tradition of Mongolia. The state established by Chinggis Khaan is prospering with its seal and people intact. In 2012, upon the Presidential Decree No.4 from January 9, 2012, the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia ratified to commemorate the anniversary of birth of Great Chinggis Khaan as the National Pride Day. The date is celebrated as a public holiday nationwide on the first day of the first winter month by Mongolian lunar calendar, which falls on a different day annually by Gregorian calendar. The official celebration was started with a National Flag Raising Ceremony at 10:00 am, after which the state guards of honors on horseback have performed the Great Nine White Banners of Mongol State on central square. On this day, the state dignitaries host an award ceremony of the "Chinggis Khaan" Order, the supreme state prize of Mongolia, to the most outstanding figure, who contributes greatly to the development of the nation.
