North America-Mongolia Business Council Annual Meeting & Investors Forum, Ottawa, May 17-18

All interested Canadians are invited to the 26th AGM & Investors Forum of the North America-Mongolia Business Council (NAMBC), May 17-18 at the Courtyard Marriott Byward Market in Ottawa. This event is the only annual Mongolia business forum held every year inside North America. Since 1990, the NAMBC – a non-profit membership organization -- has been Mongolia’s key link to Canada and the US and is the largest and oldest international business organization linking Mongolia and the West. Speakers will include Mongolian, Canadian and American government officials – including Ambassador to Canada R. Altangerel -- as well as senior executives of companies invested in Mongolia in the mining, retail, services, agriculture and other sectors. Discounted registration is offered to any Mongolian graduate of a Canadian university and to any company for early registration. Attendance is limited to100 in order to promote dialogue; first come, first served. Historically, about 50% of all AGM registrants are not NAMBC members; about 20% are NGOs. The AGM & Investors Forum offers an objective private sector-oriented overview of what’s ahead for both companies and organizations already and for new-to-Mongolia companies, including the impact of upcoming June parliamentary elections and implications for Canadian companies interested in the mining supply chain and other sectors. The opening reception on May 17 will be hosted on Parliament Hill by Senator Joseph Day, chair of the Canada-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Group. For registration forms, discount thresholds, and group rate hotel reservations, visit www.nambc.org. April 16 is the deadline for group rate hotel rooms; May 4 is the registration deadline.
