COMPILATION OF THE PRESENTATIONS FROM MONGOLIAN STUDIES FORUMS IN CANADA PUBLISHED🇲🇳🇨🇦

The Embassy of Mongolia in Canada has published “Mongolian Studies Forum in Canada”, a compilation of the presentations delivered at the Mongolian Studies Forums organized in Ottawa in 2024 and 2025.

The compilation includes research works by Mongolian studies scholars in Canada on a wide range of topics such as Mongolian history, culture, traditions, and archaeology, as well as presentations by prominent scholars from both countries on such topics as Mongolia’s position in the region, its foreign policy, development challenges, and the significance of Mongolia-Canada relations.

This publication is expected to contribute to the academic knowledge of scholars and readers regarding the history, current state and future prospects of Mongolian studies in Canada. At the same time, it aims to serve as a bridge for building academic connections and expanding opportunities for collaboration.

The compilation honours and commemorates the pioneering scholars who laid the foundation of Mongolian studies in Canada over the past half century and also reflects the ideas and initiatives of contemporary researchers on how to further support, deepen, and expand Mongolian studies in Canada.

The Embassy has been organizing the Mongolian Studies Forum annually since co-hosting a Mongolian studies conference with the University of Toronto in 2023 as part of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Canada aiming to revive Mongolian studies in Canada and strengthen connections among scholars.

As one of the outcomes of these efforts, the “Mongolian Studies Forum in Canada” compilation is expected to contribute to the intellectual interests not only of researchers but also of anyone interested in Mongolia.
