🇲🇳A business delegation led by Ts. Magnaibaatar, CEO of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), is working these days in Montreal and Ottawa, Canada.

On April 28, the delegation held a working meeting at the Embassy of Mongolia during which Ambassador E. Sarantogos highlighted the importance of this business mission in expanding trade and economic relations between the two countries as well as establishing business-to-business connections. The parties also discussed cooperation between the Embassy and the MNCCI in organizing future business missions and meetings, particularly in food and agriculture sectors, which are among the key pillars of bilateral cooperation.

Counsellor of the Embassy M.Batkhuyag briefed the entrepreneurs on Canadian economy, consumer market, current bilateral trade, export opportunities, regulatory requirements, and key considerations for doing business in Canada. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Canada-Mongolia Chamber of Commerce as well as Mongolian entrepreneurs based in Ottawa.

🔹During their visit to Ottawa, the delegation further met with Zaki Munshi, Program Director at Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada, and exchanged views on potential cooperation. TFO Canada supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from developing countries in accessing the Canadian market and partners with trade support institutions in over 50 countries. CEO Ts.Magnaibaatar expressed the MNCCI's interest in establishing a partnership with TFO Canada, and both sides agreed to explore opportunities for implementing joint projects to support Mongolian SMEs.

🔹While in Ottawa, the delegation also visited "Cashmere Casa," a Mongolian wool and cashmere retail store in Ottawa. The delegation will attend "SIAL Canada," an international agri-food exhibition held in Montreal from April 29 to May 1.
