EMBASSY PARTICIPATES IN THE ASIAN HERITAGE MONTH EVENT

The Embassy of Mongolia in Canada participated in the “Asian Heritage Month: Cultural Fair and Fashion Showcase” event organized by the Global Affairs Canada on May 28, 2026, promoting Mongolia, its culture and traditions, and showcasing Mongolian wool and cashmere products.

The event was opened by the Honourable Randeep Sarai, Secretary of State of International Development, and introduced by Ms. Nadia Ahmad, Director-General and Head of Evaluation, GAC. The event was organized as part of the Asian Heritage Month and hosted diplomatic missions of Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan and Mongolia to promote their respective countries. GAC employees also held a fashion show featuring national costumes of Asia.

In Canada, the month of May is celebrated as Asian Heritage Month in recognition of the contributions made by Canadians of Asian descent to the country. Throughout the month, many events are held nationwide to promote Asian history, culture, and traditions.
