🇲🇳 🇨🇦 Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada E.Sarantogos paid a courtesy call on Her Honour the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, on August 28, 2026.

🔷During the meeting, Ambassador E.Sarantogos noted that the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Canada are built on common values for democracy and human rights and continue to deepen within the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership.

🔷Ambassador E. Sarantogos also highlighted that her mission is to bring the two nations closer together by promoting Mongolia’s current development, cultural heritage, values and traditions in Canada, while also introducing development, diversity and friendly people of the host country to Mongolians.

🔷The Honourable Edith Dumont underscored the importance of diplomacy not only at the political level, but also through personal relations, educational exchanges, and cultural understanding.

🔷The two sides also discussed the importance of strengthening trade and business links, particularly in the areas of natural resources and investment, as both countries continue to explore opportunities to diversify their trade and economic relationship. The Ambassador highlighted that Ontario’s important role in bilateral economic relations and expressed her interest in further deepening and expanding these ties.

🔷Her Honour the Honourable Edith Dumont is the 30th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and the first Francophone to hold the office. Appointed in 2023 following a remarkable career in education and public service, Her Honour has dedicated more than three decades to advancing education, strengthening Francophone communities and building inclusive, resilient communities across Ontario and beyond.
