Canada recognized the Mongolian People’s Republic in 1964 and the two countries established diplomatic relations on November 30, 1973. The 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations falls in 2023.
Since 1990, as Mongolia transmitted to the democratic system, market economy and the society for human rights and freedom, the bilateral relations and cooperation have intensified, expanded and deepened with the shared values of democracy, human rights, freedom and rule of law.
