EMBASSY REPRESENTATIVES VISITED “GROOVYYURTS” FARM

Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada Mrs. Sarantogos Erdenetsogt and the staff of the Embassy visited the “Groovyyurts” farm on September 1, 2023. “Groovy Yurts Inc”, a Canadian company which runs the farm, has imported from Mongolia over 1500 yurts (gers) to Europe and America since 2003 and has been promoting the Mongolian yurts and Mongolian traditions for 20 years. They have delivered gers to customers not only in Canada but also in USA, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Bolivia and Iceland.

Ambassador E.Sarantogos expressed gratitude to Mr. Yves Ballenegger, the founder and director of the company, for the valuable contribution to promotion of the Mongolian culture and traditions as well as trade development between the two countries and exchanged views on the potential cooperation in future. 26 percent of the exports from Mongolia to Canada are goods (Mongolian gers) by "Groovyyurts”.
