MONGOLIA EVENT FOR WOMEN HEADS OF DIPLOMATIC MISSION IN CANADA

Embassy of Mongolia in Canada hosted a networking event for the Women Heads of Diplomatic Mission in Canada on September 12, 2024, in Alexandria, Ontario. The event aimed to promote Mongolian culture, traditions and customs. It was organized under the Association of the Women Heads of Diplomatic Mission in Canada. The Heads of the Diplomatic Missions of Jamaica, Slovakia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Greece, Netherlands and Panama attended the event along with Ms. Sarah Huskinson, Chief Administrative Officer of the Township of North Glengarry, Ontario, at the invitation of Her Excellency E.Sarantogos, Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada.

The guests experienced one evening immersed in the Mongolian atmosphere enjoying Mongolian cuisine, style of living, customs, traditions, arts and culture. The event was supported by “Groovy Yurts”, a Canadian company which imports authentic Mongolian yurts, and Mr. Yves Ballenegger, the Director of “Groovy Yurts”, gave a presentation on Mongolian yurts and related customs and way of living. The evening also featured a Mongolian traditional dance performance, promotion of Mongolian brand products and a display of Mongolian national costumes and souvenirs.

Ambassador E.Sarantogos expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests and emphasized that such moments of strengthening bonds among the female Ambassadors make their relations even more precious. This networking event was a valuable opportunity to promote Mongolia, its culture and its products to the Women Heads of Diplomatic Mission as well as Canadian municipalities.
