AMBASSADOR VISITS NOVA SCOTIA

🔸Ambassador E.Sarantogos visited Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, Canada, from May 6-8, 2026, to join the mission organized by the Global Affairs Canada for Heads of Diplomatic Mission to Canada to promote economic relations and cooperation with Nova Scotia.

🔸During the visit, the Ambassador had a brief meeting with Nova Scotia’s Lieutenant Governor Mike Savage and participated in the discussions and exchanged views with Premier Tim Houston, Speaker of the House of Assembly Danielle Barkhouse, Deputy Premier Barbara Adams, and provincial government officials responsible for energy, agriculture, health, natural resources, cybersecurity, and other sectors.

🔸During the meetings, Ambassador E.Sarantogos noted her satisfaction with representation of the Nova Scotia’s business sector in Mongolia through investment in mining sector. She also underlined that Mongolian students are studying at the Dalhousie University under the “2+2” program. Ambassador emphasized the need for expansion of opportunities for student exchanges and for exploration of cooperation potentials in transportation and logistics sector.

🔸As part of the visit, which brought together Heads of Diplomatic Mission from more than 40 countries accredited to Canada, Ambassador E.Sarantogos also visited hubs specializing in high technology, defense innovation, and health research, and toured the Port of Halifax.

🔸Nova Scotia has established a health innovation hub and is progressing in artificial intelligence, space technology, and marine energy production. The Port of Halifax is a deep-water port capable of accommodating large vessels.
